hello! my name is carlos miranda, i'm a venezuelan artist based in new york city. i have a background in engineering that has helped me become quite the problem solver; yes, i can finally fix my own toilet, put up shelves in my walls and unclog my shower drainage! but most importantly i went to school for illustration at the fashion institute of technology. improving my observational skills has allowed me to bring to life all the fun ideas that cross my mind. i like to experiment when making art; i often go from one discipline to another, moving between illustration, graphic design and animation depending on the project. i'm constantly expanding my skill set to be able to achieve what i have in mind. In my world, there are no limits.

the most fun and carefree times of my life was my childhood. i tap my subconscious to create artworks that are fun and quirky, and that are reminiscent of those times.

my influences include pop art, toys, industrial design, architecture, music among other things that i see and hear out there on a daily basis.
